Mr Ali Abbasian's NHS practice is based at Guy's and St. Thomas' hospitals and his elective practice is purely dedicated to adult foot and ankle disorders.

Mr Abbasian trained at St George's hospital in London where he was awarded his MBBS degree in the year 2000. His postgraduate surgical and orthopaedic training was also based in London and took him through many teaching hospitals including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, St Mary's Paddington and Charing Cross. Mr Abbasian became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010.

He completed a comprehensive specialist fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in the USA at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine under the supervision of Dr Gregory Pomeroy in 2012.

Mr Abbasian has been in full time NHS practice since 2012 at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital Trust which is now the largest and busiest tertiary referral foot and ankle unit in London. Privately, Mr Abbasian consults through London Sports Orthopaedics and the London Bridge Hospital.

His areas of special interests include: sports injuries and tendinopathies around the ankle, plantar fascitis or heel pain, bunions, ankle arthritis and ankle replacement, management of adult flat foot and deformity.

Mr Abbasian performs minimally invasive surgery where appropriate.

Bunions, hammer toes and forefoot deformity, metatarsalgia, calf tightness and achilles disorders, ankle sprains and instability,sports injuries and tendinopathies around the ankle,surgical and non-surgical management of plantar fasciitis, flat and high arched foot deformity and reconstruction,arthroscopic ankle fusions and total ankle replacement.
